Fanylion history

Founded in Spring 2001, Team FanyLion is the culmination of a dream, a need, a desire, a yearning, a passion for one thing: Mountainbiking.

Team FanyLion currently has 20 riders, each one bringing a different skill, knowledge and ability to the Team, enriching it and making it possibly one of the best known and most talked about mountainbike Teams in the country. In the beginning the Team had no name. In fact, in the beginning we did not even know we were a Team, however with ever-increasing numbers and an escalating passion and love for mountainbiking, the Team was soon born.

Since that first seminal trip to Coed-Y-Brenin, Team FanyLion has travelled far and wide and conquered many different types of terrain and drunk vast quantities of alcohol in numerous different hostelries. This year the Team has expanded further, with many new members joining all the time, willing to endure the Team selection process and join this mighty organisation.

With the return of our website we are able to communicate Team FanyLion's exploits with the rest of the mountainbiking world and ensure that we continue to grow, thrive and most importantly, ride. Now to be found riding trails all over the UK, Europe and beyond, Team FanyLion is going from strength to strength. Easily recognised by their chiselled figures, athletic physiques and famous Lion mascot, Team FanyLion will soon be riding trails near you.
